So last year I took a long trip back to Zambia. Reflected on a lot and was able to get my head into a space where I could start thinking about what to do next. It’s funny because everything has been happening without me having to start anything so I’m enjoying life’s journey. I haven’t really posted anything on this blog but I promise to keep a regular flow of posts starting now. Here is a pic of my dad and his cousin in Lundazi.
Playing around with composition. I’m thinking of putting these on canvas.
Going back to my roots; black and white; pen and pencil; Africa and well the rest of the West.
Black History Month. Remembering a person who sacrificed his youth for the benefit of a Nation.
So I was away last week; flew to Zambia for my Sis’s wedding (only had a week off 😦 ). the moment I got there I had 12 Bow ties to make in 2 days. It was a stretch but with a good technique on my side I accomplished it all with time to spear. And I think they turned out alright 😀
Dry but still breath-taking.
Going back in a few weeks cannot wait!
Made this and it was safe to say I increased the dimensions. You know me I love my mistakes, attached a piece below BOOM Cravat.
I have formulated a technique so I can pretty much make one of these in 45 minutes now 🙂 More to come.
