On to Something

So second semester was a crazy experience. Who knew art was so… yeah confusing; just when I think I’m on to something, something else pings up and I find myself doing other projects. So this was my entry for the Turner’s page turner competition, didn’t win (OH the pain would have done with another bridge camera :P) but I think I got something way better. As part of the exhibition the art shortlisted in this competition got the chance to have their work in the Turner contemporary. SO YAY! It was equally great to hear that a friend got in too, due to competition rules I couldn’t put this up but hey it’s all over so this was my entry. As you can tell from my end of semester project, this was part my final piece ideas I don’t know way this even got chosen but hey, like I said art is confusing the pieces I dismiss tend to be the stuff people like the most. So come year two I’m going completely AVANT GARDE!! Yinka better watch out 😛

HI! remember business Tinkhani? Just showing you what I got up to this morning. Now I’ve told you so many times that if you wanted help all you have to do is ask, well I’ll introduce you to the gospel according to the apostle Sn. SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND! KNOCK ON THE DOOR AND IT SHALL OPEN AMEN! I tried telling you the truth in it’s blunt form but like Jesus told me you prefer parables so prepare yourselves! Now like your masters before you; know that everything is done in stages. I tried explaining this to you but you didn’t want to listen. So here’s my first example of the pieces I told you IS NOT FINISHED!!!!!!! I started adding the last touches at 10:30 and finished just in time for 13:00. No joke as I promised my Lord and Savior (ghetto black voice) I shan’t tell a lie MHMMM! *snap snap* (the visual is enough I used to do this a lot but not so much this time) BUT REMEMBER Thou shall not STEAL!!! (from the living anyway)
