So as I said I didn’t like my orphist painting so I chopped the painting into little cubes and I much prefer the boxes and cubes to the original painting. It just comes to show that a bad idea doesn’t necessarily mean you have to discard the work.

Orphism Disaster
Alex (another great art buddy of mine) and I paid a visit to Orinoco (a local scrap-store) and got lots of free paint. I opened up our choices and these five colours looked good so I started painting an off cut I got from our sculpture workshop. I’m not a fan of this painting so I plan to do something with this.
Cubes
Had another workshop and the craftsman in me couldn’t resist making more of these boxes. Just needed some kind of design, luckily I’m writing an essay on Robert Delaunay. Particularly his work from 1920 onward, I’m a big fan of Orphism so the pattern just came naturally. And I swear circles are taking over my art.
